Unlike oats porridge Quinoa porridge is simple and easy to make with very little prep and no overnight soaking of oats. You can adapted the porridge to your liking. I add raisins, bananas and honey you can add sugar, apples, cranberries, cinnamon or even blue berries; the possibilities are endless. It`s a simple base that you can adapt to you pallet. It is also really easy and quick, you don't have to stand over the pot to make sure its cooking.
Ingredients
1 cup Water
1/2cup Quinoa
1 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (you can use soy, rice or coconut)
1 Banana (diced)
1/4Cup Raisins
Seasoning
1/4tsp Salt
1/2tsp Nutmeg (freshly grated)
1Tbsp Honey
Directions
This is an easy and hearty porridge. And its extremely adaptable. I love this recipe for those lazy days.

- Add 1/2 cup of Quinoa to 1 cup of water. Bring it to a boil and them let it simmer for 10 min.
- Add the 1 cup of almond milk, bananas and raisins and mix. Cook at the same low heat for another 6 minutes (no more than 8 the more you cook it the less water you will have)
- Once cooked, add the salt and nutmeg mix it. Then add your honey to taste, your porridge is ready.
